Zhang Yimou, cineasta molto noto nel Paese, è finito sotto inchiesta per aver avuto troppi bambini rispetto a quanto consentito dalla legge e potrebbe essere condannato a pagare 160 milioni di yuan
PECHINO - Zhang Yimou, uno dei più noti registi cinesi, potrebbe dover pagare una multa di 160 milioni di yuan, circa 18 milioni di euro, per aver violato ripetutamente la legge sul figlio unico avendo avuto sette figli da almeno tre donne diverse. Secondo quanto riferisce la stampa cinese, le autorità hanno aperto un'inchiesta per verificare i fatti. Fonti vicine a Zhang e alla sua attuale moglie, l'attrice Chen Ting, hanno confermato che i due hanno avuto tre figli, due maschi e una femmina, prima di sposarsi nel 2011. Precedentemente il regista era stato sposato con Xiao Hua, dalla quale aveva già avuto una figlia. Inoltre, sempre stando alle voci che si sono diffuse anche nella rete, avrebbe avuto poi altri tre figli con due donne diverse.
Regista di numerosi film di successo tra cui 'Red Sorghum' (ispirato ad un romanzo del premio nobel Mo Yan), 'House of Flying Daggers' e 'The Flowers of War', Zhang è noto anche per aver guidato la regia della cerimonia di chiusura delle Olimpiadi del 2004 ad Atene. Se a seguito delle indagini dovesse essere confermato che ha sette figli, secondo un esperto legale, in base alla consistenza del suo patrimonio potrebbe essere condannato al pagamento di una multa salatissima, di circa 160 milioni di yuan.
La notizia dell'inchiesta è apparsa sul sito web del 'Quotidiano del Popolo', l'organo di stampa del Partito Comunista Cinese. Ma già circolavano sul web le accuse e le critiche al regista per aver violato le leggi che proibiscono alle famiglie di avere più di un figlio.
