Trama
Taiwan, Li Wu Hsiung vive una vita povera, ma felice, con la sua figlioletta Mei. Da quando gli viene imposto di dover registrare ufficialmente la parentela con la figlia, per non perderne la custodia, il pover’uomo dovrà affrontare un calvario burocratico senza via d’uscita. Esausto, Li Wu Hsiung deciderà di ricorrere a soluzioni estreme… Tratto da una storia vera.


Commento
Cannot Live without You è il secondo film del regista/attore taiwanese Leon Dai, pellicola con cui vincerà il 46esimo Taipei Golden Horse Award nel 2009. Girato con grande stile, interamente in bianco e nero, è un film dolce e melanconico, ma di forte critica sociale. Il protagonista, un povero Hakka senza istruzione, si dovrà scontrare con la rigida e complicata burocrazia del governo taiwanese, ritrovandosi immerso in un mondo a lui estraneo e senza ricevere aiuti concreti dalle istituzioni.

Visto: davvero bello ! Una storia toccante, interpretazioni convincenti e una regia che racconta non limitandosi al compitino ma con gran bello stile, inquadrature non banali, e una notevole fotografia in bianco e nero.

Recuperatelo subito. "Non potete vivere senza vederlo" :)
