Io l'ho conosciuto in Zatoichi di Kitano, decisamente tardi! Successivamente ho recuperato molti altri film.

Grazie mille per questa bella iniziativa. Quando mi è stata proposta l'idea ne sono stata entusiasta fin da subito. Tadanobu Asano è senz'altro il mio attore preferito. Anch'io l'ho conosciuto in Zatoichi e poi piano piano ho recuperato tutti i suoi film.
Oltre ai film presenti in questa rassegna settimanale, raccomando a chi l'ha perso di andarsi a recuperare "Kabei: Our Mother", secondo me uno dei film più belli di Asano. Tra i più recenti vorrei segnalare "Wandering Home" e secondo me non è male - ma qui sono di parte - anche Mt. Tsurugidake (che ho sottotitolato io

Film che ci starebbero bene su AsianWorld ! Speriamo in futuro in qualche benefattore-traduttore (coraggio, ci vogliono più subber, non fate fare tutto ai soliti...
). Tra l'altro di due registi già apprezzati da queste parti: il grande Yamada e l'ottimo Higashi.

L'attore giapponese Tadanobu Asano sarà il protagonista di Silence il nuovo film di Martin Scorsese, attualmente in pre-produzione, ispirato all’omonimo romanzo di Shusaku Endo che propone come tema di sfondo le persecuzioni a carico dei cristiani durante il periodo Tokugawa, a seguito della Rivolta di Shimabara (In Italia si può acquistare l'edizione pubblicata da Corbaccio, titolo "Silenzio"). Sembra che inizialmente il ruolo assegnato ad Asano dovesse essere affidato a Ken Watanabe. L'attore sarà affiancato da Andrew Garfield, Adam Driver, Liam Neeson. A firmare la sceneggiatura Jay Cocks che per Scorsese ha già scritto "L'età dell'innocenza" e "Gangs of New York".
Una bella occasione americana per Tadanobu Asano che negli ultimi anni è sbarcato a Hollywood, ma finora per blockbuster di scarso valore come "Battleship", "Thor", "Thor: The Dark World", "47 Ronin". Mentre in Giappone ha lavorato con tutti i più grandi autori contemporanei (Kitano, Koreeda, Kurosawa, Tsukamoto, Aoyama, Kumakiri...), senza dimenticare la collaborazione con il taiwanese Hou Hsiao-hsien, il thailandese Pen-Ek Ratanaruang, il russo Sergej Bodrov.
